About Us

Hello and welcome to Tamaron Vizslas.   My husband Leon and I have been involved with Vizslas since 1999 when we brought our first Vizsla, "Chipper" home.  "Chipper" was already 9 months old when we got him and we fell in love with him and the breed at first sight.

We soon came to realize that one Vizsla simply wasn't enough and after trying to locate a rescue dog for well over a year with no success, we took the plunge and added our names to a wait list for a puppy.   This new puppy, "Tarika" changed our lives forever!!   We knew she was something special the moment we met her.

"Tarika" has striking beauty.  I've had spectators at shows tell me that she is the most beautiful Vizsla they have ever seen.  Her movement is effortless and she has a beautiful wide-open side gait,  nice depth of brisket, correct tail set and carriage, and a gorgeous front that seem to set her apart.  Often having to overcome my novice handling, "Tarika" was successful in the show ring from the very beginning.  Some highlights include winning the RSVC specialty puppy sweepstakes, winning back-to-back majors, and completing her championship title with three major wins.

In limited showing, she earned over 40 Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex ribbons.  As a champion, she won multiple Best in Specialty Shows, received a Judge's Award of Merit at the VCA Nationals in November of 2005 and had many other nice wins often taking the breed over top ten winning specials.

"Tarika" demonstrated versatility by placing 2^nd in her first puppy field trial and easily earned her junior hunting title.  In December 2006 she completed her Master Hunting title and is currently working on Obedience and Versatility titles.  For the most part she is retired from the show ring, however, you may still see her from time-to-time at Nationals and Specialty Shows. 

In 2003 we added a third Vizsla, "Lexi" to our home.  "Lexi's" sire and dam were both ranked in the top ten during their show careers.  "Lexi" is a beautiful Vizsla with an outstanding temperament.  She completed her show championship title with four major wins (one earned at a Specialty Show).  "Lexi" also loves to hunt, has a very stylish point and easily completed her  junior hunting title. 

In 2004 we started our own line of Vizslas.  Photos of our litters are available on the "Puppies" buttons and champions that we've bred are shown on our "Champions" page. Should you have an interest in one of our puppies, please contact us to be added to our wait list.   Many of our puppies are placed in homes that are showing or competing in AKC events for the first time and we are happy to mentor and assist.
