Hello and welcome to Tamaron Vizslas.   (Tamara (Tami) and Leon Westerbeck).  

 

Competing and breeding quality, versatile vizslas for hunting, show, obedience, family pets and more.

 

Our involvement with Vizslas began in 1999 when we brought our first Vizsla, "Chipper" home.  "Chipper" was 9 months old when we got him and we fell in love with him and the breed instantly.

 

We soon came to realize that one Vizsla wasn't enough and after trying to locate a rescue for well over a year with no success, we added our names to a breeder wait list for a puppy.   Several months later, we brought "Tarika" home and with this new puppy began our journey into the dog world.   

 

In limited showing, "Tarika" earned over 40 Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex ribbons often having to overcome my novice handling.  As a champion, she won multiple Best in Specialty Shows, received a Judge's Award of Merit at the Vizsla Club of America Nationals in November of 2005 and had many other nice wins often taking the breed over top nationally ranked show champions.  "Tarika" demonstrated versatility by placing 2nd in her first puppy field trial and easily earned her Junior and Master hunting titles.  Beyond exceling in performance events, she was our beloved companion for 14 years.  She is the foundation, and heart and soul of our breeding program.  

 

We strive for excellence and work to produce puppies that are sound in temperament, health, hunting ability, and conformation.  We hope to reproduce either the quality of the parents or better quality in each successive generation.  

 

We do not breed often, however, we have produced several top winning dogs including Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed, Multiple Sporting Group Winners, All Breed Best in Show, National All-Star Best in Review, National Best of Opposite Sex, National Select Bitch, National Winner's Dog, National Regional Best in Specialty Show, Eukanuba First Award of Excellence, Top Five Breed, Top Three All Breed, Several National Award of Merit Winners, Master Hunter, and Registry of Merit title holders.
